 Sometimes being isolated and alway from the people you love can lower your self esteem. Self doubt and self loathing can be detrimental to your mental health. It’s during these times that I focus of meditation and Art to improve my mental wellbeing. Meditating outside or indoors for a hour or so has many benefits to your state of mind.  Central Park is a place I go to meditate and clear my mind from the busy inner city. My meditation process is enhanced by my Plein air painting. Painting outside is fun and entertaining. I feel spiritually connected with nature and at ease with myself and my surroundings. 


Painting the landscape of Central Park allows me to let go of any anxiety I have and decreases my stress. Simultaneously I am enjoying the action of painting and capturing the beautiful moments in Central Park. Painting trees is a boost to my self esteem. In the end I feel like I did something positive for myself and others that I share my work with. During the process all of my attention is directed to the landscape and the enriched colors I use to render my observation.
